Friday Night Gaelic Football is back on Jan 19th
This is the perfect chance to get your body moving again after the holidays, and have some fun with your friends and teammates.
Here are some details about the event:
- The games are played every Friday night between 7-9 pm in the Oranmore Astro Pitch, which is a state-of-the-art facility with 3G synthetic grass and floodlights.
- Each team has 10 players, with only 7 playing at any given time, with roll-on and off subs.
- Each game has two halves of 10 minutes each, with 1 minute for halftime.
- A full schedule of all games will be published beforehand, so you can plan and prepare for your matches.
- All games will have a referee and a few simple rules to ensure fair play and safety… Nothing complicated.
- Games start on time, so please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled game to warm up and get ready.
- A league table will be updated weekly to show where your team stands in the competition.
- The finals will be held on the last evening of the event, as per last year, with food available for all players at the pitch.
The numbers are limited to ensure quality and safety, so if you are interested, please register as soon as you can and before mid-day Sunday 14th Jan. The cost is €10 per person for the whole event….

Finally, we are looking for some generous sponsors to support each team. We had over 80 players last year and we expect even more for this year.
